Attraction: Taj Mahal at Moonlight

Night viewing of Taj Mahal has been allowed from 28th November, 2004 for five nights in a month including the Full Moon night and two days before and two days after except Fridays and month of Ramadan as per the order of Hon'ble Supreme Court of India. The night viewing of Taj Mahal is opened from 8-30 p.m. to 12-30 a.m. in eight batches of 50 persons for half an hour duration (30 minutes). The total number of visitors is restricted to 400 each night.

The visitors of the night viewing of Taj Mahal have to report at Shilpgram complex half an hour in advance of the viewing time. The entry is allowed from the Eastern Gate of the Taj Mahal only. The visitors have to keep their luggage at the Cloakroom free of cost.

Security Precautions:
Tourists can view the Taj Mahal from a distance of 500 m, from a nearby red sandstone platform. Tourists are permitted with their Mobiles, still camera and binoculars. In this moonlight visit, a video camera will not be allowed.

Please Note:

• Moonlight visit of Taj is not allowed on Fridays and during the month of Ramadan.
• Tickets of Moonlight Taj can only be purchased 24 hours in advance.

• Rs 510 INR (Adult, Indian)
• Rs 500 INR (Child 3-15 years, Foreign & Indian)
• Free Entry for Children below 3 years of age (Indians & Foreigners)
• The tickets are non-transferable.

The Moonlight ticket can be canceled at the office of ASI, Agra on the same date of your visit up to 1.00 p.m. with a cancellation charge of 25% of the Ticket.

Essential documents for the tickets of Moonlight visit of Tajmahal.

• A scanned copy of your passport.
• A scanned copy of your visa to India.
• A scanned copy of Aadhar Card, DL or Voter ID Card for the Indian tourist.
• Name and address of a hotel in Agra where you are staying.
• Name & address of hotel of your stay prior to arriving in Agra.
• Your home address, E-mail address and mobile number.

TICKETS & SERVICE CHARGES

• The cost of ticket and handling fee is $ 25 per pax.
• If you prefer the ticket to be delivered to your hotel, please add $ 5 delivery expense.
• Please mail money order/bank check at least five days prior to arrival in Agra.
• You may collect the ticket/s from our Agra office on the day of your visit or one day prior to a visit.
• Ticket and fees are non-refundable.
